The last three months from the day were really a great time, a time which is unforgettable.

Our last session with Amal Academy

This great time started with an email from Amal Academy upon my application that I filled online to join Amal Academy.

Interview call by Amal Academy

Before joining Amal, I didn’t know how it works. I was a little confused during the interview, but the interviewer was so nice. She supported me while at the interview, and that was my first experience with an online interview. I was so excited for the further response, and after the interview, I was invited to the online Activity Center. The experience at the online activity center was also a great learning opportunity, and after that, I got an email about the final selection. The time of selection for the Amal was a kind of a proud moment. I got selected from 4500 applicants.

Selection Email

After selection, I met great mentors, our Program Manager Zaki Hydar Bihan and Assistant Program Manager Iqra Zaheer Ahmad, whom I am not going to forget in my life. I was so confused when our first session was going on. I saw there were many other fellows like me and then our first activity started, Stories Behind your Name: the activity made us able to know each other by our names. After getting to know each other’s names, we became like friends, we helped each other in our session group whenever someone needed help. Amal Academy made us life-long learners. Online courses are full of learning with real-life examples, the courses help to explore your hidden talents. Every Project Work was a learning treasure, we faced many challenges during the project works, and dealing with those challenges made us problem solvers. Our biggest challenge was working on a mega project, the project based on an idea to solve a social cause, and as a result, we found our idea of “They Matters” a foundation for equality in human beings for every single soul.

Our Mega Project

They Matter is a foundation in which we are working on the trangender community of Pakistan, we are helping transgenders to learn skills for respectful earnings, and in that regard, we collaborated with The Gender Guardian Pakistan’s first-ever school for transgenders. From this mega project, I learned about teamwork, how to deal with hardships, learned more about transgender and especially about time management and team coordination. Well, the overall fellowship experience was so beautiful, full of learning, fun, and many other great things. I got the goal that I set while starting the fellowship to find the new version of me, and I can see a huge difference between before the fellowship me and the now me. We all fellows will stay connected to each other for the future to help and support each other in every way that we can. We are planning for a meetup soon, we are the Amal Family and no one in our group wanted to leave this family we are here and will stay connected to each other a hug love for all guys, and Thank you so much

Thank you all guys
